Acts 11:19-30

The church had been spread across the nations due to persecution. They had found their way to Antioch and started teaching and preaching there. There were many who heard of Jesus and believed. The Church was growing and this particular gathering was one that was seeing such great life change. The church sent leaders there to help and lead and encourage them. This church was growing and seeing people make real life change.

This new congregation knew of a great famine coming so they decided to send relief. They wanted to help. It was just natural for them. When people around them were suffering they wanted to be part of the solution.

We’re facing an already terrible hurricane season. People have been displaced, removed and in some extreme cases trapped at their homes. There is a crisis very close to home for so many people, so what are you doing about it? We have donations that went down from our church, but have you been concerned about the people affected? Has your heart broken for the thousands and thousands who are in need?
