Are you ready for an update in the search for a lead pastor at Origins? We thought so and are eager to fill you in! During the past several months, there’s been a lot of work behind the scenes to put us in the healthiest place possible to find our next pastor. In November we brought in an outside consultant who was able to give us solid direction in the necessity of performing gap assessments in our current ministry areas. The purpose of identifying and filling the gaps is to better position ourselves to attract a candidate who is the right fit for Origins. The staff and elders have been busy putting that advice into action by reviewing and making positive changes to improve all areas of ministry.
Now that the assessments have been completed and changes are being implemented, our search committee – which is made up of elders, staff and members – has started accepting resumes for our next lead pastor. These are very exciting times for Origins Church and the best is yet to come! We have full confidence that, as we stay united in our mission to love Jesus, each other and those around us, that God will bring the right candidate to us. The next leader will fit into our culture and help take Origins to the next level in reaching the unchurched in our communities for Jesus while also equipping the believers.
We will update the blog more frequently in the coming weeks. Stay tuned and we will let you know in the OC Weekly when an update is coming your way! Please continue praying for the staff, elders and search committee as they continue the good work that is being done at both campuses and prayerfully seek God’s direction for the future.
