Realize why you are where you are.
A lot of the time we want to be moved and we think it’d be cool if God would do something, but something seems to be in the way. If our job was different, we could be more open. If our spouse were better, we could have more faith moments in our family. If our neighbors weren’t so weird we could get to know them better. There always seems to be an excuse, a roadblock between what God wants us to do and why we aren’t doing it.
Someone once told me, if you aren’t faithful where you are, you’re not going to be faithful when you’re where you want to be. In other words, if you can’t give when you make 50k, you’re not going to when you make 150k. If you can’t share your faith when you’re at this job, you won’t at your dream job. If you aren’t moving in the direction now when it’s not easy, you surely won’t when life is easier.
Are you faithful now? What is the excuse? What keeps you from stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something God is calling you to do?
