Do the hard things
Selfishness often leads us to avoid the hard things. By that, I mean that selfishness will often cause us to avoid conversations, confrontations, and relational stressors. Instead of having the hard talks, our selfishness tells us to let it go. Instead of confronting the issue, our selfishness says work around it. Yet sometimes being abrupt, and honest, and speaking words that may hurt is the best thing we can do. Letting someone know the issue and helping them resolve it is one of the most amazing things you can do. Partnering with someone in their growth in a beautiful thing. Yet, our selfishness gets in the way. We’d rather avoid addressing the issues so we don’t have to be a part of the solution.
Who do you need to speak with today? What do you need to do to partner with someone else in their growth?
