In most other religions that allow you to have a god and be part of his work, that god requires you to take part in making things happen. If you don’t do it, then it won’t happen.
The beauty of this story is we see that God doesn’t need you to be a part of what he’s doing. Instead, he offers you to join in. He is doing what he is doing, that is not a question. God will get done what God wants to get done. The question is, are you willing to be a part of it? Are you going to be involved in the things he is doing? Are you going to be part of it?
We wonder sometimes if our mistakes can limit God and the honest truth is no. We’re broken, we’re flawed, and we sin. God accomplishes his will with or without us. And the most beautiful part of that means that we are invited into God’s will, not because he NEEDS us, but because he wants us to be a part. He wants us to share in, and enjoy, what he is doing.
Are you willing to be a part of what God is doing? Do you see his calling as an opportunity to experience something greater than you could ever imagine?
